In line with Minia University’s keenness to support and empower students
with disabilities and enhancing the inclusion efforts within the university
community, the President of the University issued a decision to form the Board
of Directors of the Center for Student with Disabilities Services at the
university.
This meeting was chaired by His Excellency the University President and
membership of the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs serving as a
Vice Chair of the Board, Dr. Hossam Abdel Rahim as Director of the Center, as
well as a number of faculty deans, administrative directors, and
representatives of related sectors, targeting to develop the services provided
to students with disabilities and to create a supportive and comprehensive
university environment.
The University President confirmed that supporting and empowering students
with disabilities comes at the University’s top priorities, reflecting its
community, human, and educational role. He also stated that the establishment
of the Board represents an important step toward strengthening institutional
work and efforts integrity among several of university sectors that ensures
providing high-quality educational and rehabilitation services, contributing to
provide more supportive and responsive university environment that meets the
needs of students with disabilities.
