As part of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in support of the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities, and in affirmation of the state's belief that disability is not an obstacle but a source of energy capable of creativity and achievement, Minia University achieved an outstanding accomplishment by winning 12 medals in the largest university sports forum for students with disabilities. The event is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports from 20 to 23 November 2025 at the Youth City in Abu Qir, Alexandria Governorate, under the slogan “Disability… a Gift, Not a Burden.”

The forum is implemented through the Central Administration for Sports Development – General Administration of Student Sports Activities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Alexandria Directorate of Youth and Sports, with the participation of 700 male and female students with disabilities representing 25 Egyptian universities. This event provides a real model of inclusion and empowerment within the university community, helping to expand the participation of students with disabilities in sports activities, enhance community integration, and improve quality of life through sports.
