President of Minia University, Dr.
Essam Farahat, received the external review committee affiliated
with the National Authority for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of
Education during an official visit to the Faculty of Science, aimed
at assessing the faculty’s compliance with institutional accreditation
standards, as well as evaluating a number of its academic programs for
program-level accreditation.
This visit comes as part of the
university’s strategic plan to develop its faculties and academic
programs, achieve excellence in educational outcomes, scientific research, and
community service, and fulfill the requirements for obtaining institutional
accreditation for the Faculty of Science and program accreditation
for the Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, and Geology programs.
The Institutional Accreditation
Committee included: Dr. Mona El-Sayed Othman, Head of the Institutional
Accreditation Team; Dr. Hassan Aliwa; and Dr. Alaa Othman, members of the
Institutional Accreditation Committee. The Program Accreditation Committee
included Dr. Ahmed Salem Mohamed as the reviewer for the Physics Program, Dr.
Mohamed Mohamed Abou Shady for the Mathematics Program, Dr. Walaa Al-Nahrawi
for the Zoology Program, and Dr. Gamal Kamah for the Geology and Chemistry
Programs.
During the meeting, Dr. Essam Farhat
welcomed the committee members, emphasizing Minia University’s commitment to
applying the highest academic quality standards, which enhance both
institutional and program performance efficiency and contribute to
strengthening the university’s competitiveness locally and internationally.
