Within the framework of the
Presidential initiative for Human Building” Bedaya” Minia University organized
an awareness seminar titled "The Nature of Bullying Behavior and
Its Psychological, Social, and Religious Effects". This seminar was part
of a series of initiatives aimed at protecting students from Bulling Phenomenon,
enhance their Psychological and mental health, and creating a positive
educational environment that supports the students’ development and strengthen values
of respect both within and outside the university campus.
The seminar was held under the auspices of Dr. Essam Farahat, the
President of Minia University, and was organized by the Technical and Cultural
Activity Administration of the General Department for Students Care, in
cooperation with the Supreme Council for Universities. The event witnessed the
participation of 120 students from various faculties of the university, in
light of the University’s keenness to reinforce the community and moral values among
its students and raise the awareness about the negative behaviors risks.
Professor. Essam Farahat emphasized
that the seminar aims to raise awareness about the dangers of bullying,
highlight its psychological, social, and religious impacts, and promote a
culture of respect and tolerance within the university campus, which contributes
to shaping well-balanced student personalities capable of engaging positively
with others and rejecting aggressive behavior.
The seminar was delivered by Dr.
Alaa Al-Hamzawy, Professor at the Faculty of Arts, who addressed the
psychological and religious dimensions of the bullying phenomenon and its
effects on both the individual and society.
