The Professor. Dr. Essam Farhat,
President of Minia University, attended the meetings of the the Councils of Faculties of Education and Dentistry, in the presence of Dr. Sayed Abdel
Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Dr. Yasser Fathy Hussein, Dean of
the Faculty of Dentistry. The meetings were held at the respective faculties,
with the attendance of vice deans, heads of departments, and directors of the
Quality Assurance and Accreditation Units.
The meeting was held to select each
faculty’s nominees for the committee responsible for choosing faculty deans, as
well as to follow up on the educational process and activate academic and
administrative development plans within the faculties.
On the other hand, Dr. Essam Farhat
emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific research, implementing
digital transformation, and activating the quality and academic accreditation
system. His Excellency also stressed the need to introduce new academic
programs that are more attractive to students and aligned with modern
developments and labor market needs.
He added that Minia University is
confidently progressing towards becoming a smart, green, and sustainable
university, thanks to its advanced infrastructure and qualified human
resources.
The University President presented
the university's future vision for the development of infrastructure, research,
and academics across all faculties, emphasizing the need to apply for academic
accreditation to raise the efficiency of the educational system and achieve
institutional excellence.
Dr. Farhat also explained the
beginning of the implementation of a comprehensive plan to develop the
university campus, with the first phase including the development of 80
classrooms and converting them into "smart classrooms." The next
phase is expected to include 160 classrooms, in line with fourth-generation
university standards.
